Question by : Does an electrical transformer box have any health risks?
My family recently bought a house with a large electrical transformer box around 2 – 4 feet from the part of the house closest to it.
My bedroom is the part of the house closest to the box, and my parents are worried that the transformer box may be harmful…that it contains serious health risks. Does it emit any harmful rays? Does it cause cancer or any illnesses? Does it contribute to various sicknesses? Etc. Thanks!

Question by MADDOG: Why is Obama always putting his foot in his mouth when he doesn’t have his teleprompter?
“Unemployment won’t go over 8% if stimulus is passed.”
“No lobbyists in my administration”
“The police acted stupidly”
“Health care reform will be enacted before the break”
“Like watching the special olympics”
……….
Maybe he should never leave his teleprompter at home.

Sorry, but I’d rather concentrate on his actions which prevented us from dropping into a full depression. But go ahead and keep concentrating on your inconsequential critiques. I know it’s all you have.

Question by lizneth72: How much does it cost to get a deep cut on the foot cleaned up and dermabonded at a hospital?
My wife stepped on a long piece of glass when she went into the garage and when she saw it blood was gushing out of it. The cut is just a little below her pinky toe. I took her to the emergency place at the hospital and she got it x-rayed and dermabonded. She does not have health insurance because she just quit her job and a she’s just a week away from leaving to boot camp. How much would the hospital charge us?

What area of health has the most personal options for treatment?

Question by : What area of health has the most personal options for treatment?
I think dental health would be the area. There is thousands of different chemicals you can put in your mouth. So what Im saying I think if someone is going to look at alternative options they should look at their dental health. Also there is the issue of diet which has many different theories.
For instance with podiatry I think there is only a few ways you can do things to improve your foot health. You need some sort of customised or shop standard arch support for irregular shaped feet and your nails cut in the most appropriate way.
With chiropractic there is different adjustments, there are kneeling chairs, saddle chairs, traction where they put straps on your back and neck.

I am a podiatrist. We do lots of different things each day and there is a lot of diagnostic skill and problem solving to be done. I recently started using www.copythotic.com.au to provide even more innovative solutions for individual patients. I can recommend podiatry as an interesting career. If that was what you were asking…….

Do you think my foot is broken?

Question by : Do you think my foot is broken?
It looks really swollen and it hurts with each step I take and it also hurts numbly when I’m just resting. It feels like a pang or like a “reverb” kind of pain when I walk.
This morning a really heavy doorstop fell on my foot and I have 2 spots where the wound drew blood.
Is my foot broken? I don’t have health insurance at the moment so I can’t go to get x-rays
Do you think it will heal on its own?
