Question by : Do you think my foot is broken?
It looks really swollen and it hurts with each step I take and it also hurts numbly when I’m just resting. It feels like a pang or like a “reverb” kind of pain when I walk.

This morning a really heavy doorstop fell on my foot and I have 2 spots where the wound drew blood.

Is my foot broken? I don’t have health insurance at the moment so I can’t go to get x-rays :( Do you think it will heal on its own?

Nope your foot isn’t broken, I had that problem once but instead it was with my finger and it was swollen and everytime I hold something with that hand with the swollen finger I would feel pain. Hmm it doesn’t sound serious so it would be more than possible for it to heal on it’s own. It might take a very long time to recover if it got hit extra hard.

Well my solutions to this is to put hot compresses on your foot after you get up in the morning and before you go to bed. Also use a pain relieving gel called mineral ice. It’s found at rite aid I believe. And put it on your swollen foot, your foot will feel a little cold but it’s good for relieving pain.

I hope this answer helped because I had this problem once, And once I did it. It worked.

if your foot was really broken, you wouldnt be able to walk on it at all. so i doubt its really broken

no, I don’t think it is broken. I broke mine and I couldn’t out any weight on it. The one time I did I fell to the floor screaming in pain.

But, You might need to see a doctor if the pain and swelling doesn’t go down.

Hope this helps& you get better. (:

Hey Ella – WRONG. People walk on broken bones all the time.
