Just curious… I mean surgery like Bunions or shoulder joint surgery etc.

Depending on what your annual deductible is. You first have to meet the deductible. Once you pay that part they probably pay 80% of the rest. Call your insurance provider, the number should be on the back of your insurance card. Also check the policy you purchased.

It depends on your policy, and it it is a medical necessity of for cosmetic reasons. My insurance paid all but $100 for my bunionectomy. Most doctors will work with you to make sure your insurance will pay.
