Question by Crazy, Sexy, Cool: Health Issue! My foot and leg are numb up to my knee. What is wrong with me?
My foot has been sort of numb, but not totally for about a week or more now. It started out in the upper part of my foot, and is now working its way up my leg toward my knee. It feels like your limbs feel when it has gone to sleep, but then it is starting to regain feeling, and you get that tingling sensation that occurs when numbness starts to wear off. This feeling doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. What do you think it is?

It could be something called a paresthesia, which can be caused by either vascular (blood vessel) or neurologic (nerve) issues. In either case, the sooner you get it addressed the lower the likelihood of permanent injury, so get to the doc fast.

    Go. To. The doctors.

I doubt it, but it may have something to do with your nerves… just please go to the doctors to be safe.

    Best of luck!

Kit Kat, this issue should be addressed to your Physician. There are many possibilities, and an examination, personal history, and tests may be in order, before there can be a diagnosis and or treatment. Make an appointment and have someone take you.
