Question by : Any idea what’s wrong with my foot?
So on Friday my foot started hurting really bad when I walked on it, and it has only gotten worse since then. It hurts around my fifth metatarsel (long bone by the pinky toe) and occationally in the arch of my foot. There’s the occational shooting pain, but it’s not very often; it’s more of a really strong ache. It hurts a little when I’m not on it, too, but nothing compared to walking on it. There’s no bruising or swelling that I can see, so I have no idea what’s going on.
After looking into it I found other people with the exact same pains and they describe it much better (on http://www.foot-health-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=88328#post88328 ), but none of them have the pain when they’re not on it. And none of them posted anything useful as to what was wrong. After reading this I did remember that I ran a lot (for me anyways) in gym class, but my foot didn’t start to hurt for hours after that.
If you have any questions, please ask and I’ll give you more details.
I don’t know if it’s helpful, but when I got home I wrapped it and it helped for maybe 5-10 minutes. After that I just took it off because it didn’t do any good.

You could of strained a tendon or muscle. I remember having similar symptoms after running down the stairs, and it turns out that’s what I did. Just rest your foot and try to put as little pressure on it as possible.
